What on earth do men seek in life? All men seek blessings first! Men feel that once they have blessings,they have everything.No one will say,"I don't need blessings." That is why men always seek blessings. What blessings do men seek? There are plenty.Some seek good grades in school so as to climb the ladder of success and enjoy wealth and honor in future. Others seek marital bliss to a ripe old agewith many children and grandchildren. Yet others seek peace and longevity. Even more seek prosperity and abundance. No matter what men seek, they always hope for blessings upon blessing! Sad to say, all the blessings that men seek today are temporal and not dependable, and some even have to pay a high price for them because nothing is free on earth. Moreover, not every one of these people who hopes for earthly blessings will have his wishes fulfilled. Even if some do obtain them, the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction will ultimately vanish like smoke and disperse like clouds when they pass away. Actually, there is a great blessing in this universe that men need. It is prepared for men by God and is what every man should seek and obtain. This great blessing is not temporal but is forever. Men need not pay any price but may freely have this blessing, which is "everlasting life". Originally,this great blessing was acessible to everyone, for it was a right and portion given to men by God. Men had the right to enjoy this everlasting life by eating the fruit of the tree of life. Unfortunately, our ancestors gave up this right easily , were tempted by the serpent (devil) and disobeyed God in eating the fruit that they should not. Therefore sin entered the world and the whole of humanity fell into sin and came under the curse, the consequence of sin is death, therefore losing the blessed portion that man could have enjoyed-eternal lif. Not only that, and death men have to face judgement. Men,s end is tragic because they will be thrown into everlasting fire to suffer eternally.To recover te blessed portion for men, God especially sent His beloved son Jesus Himself affirmed:"He who hearsMy word and believes in Him who sent Me haseverlasting life" (John 5:24). John, the disciple of the Lord Jesus, also proclaimed:"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoevers believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16) ;"God has given us eternal life, and this life is His son" (1 John 5:11). Receive the Lord Jesus as your Savior, and you will have eternal life. This is the greatest blessing.May you be willing to seek and obtain thia great blessing!
